First session &
paperwork.

To begin your first session, your therapist will discuss the initial paperwork and clarify any questions or concerns you hold. During this session, your therapist will ask questions to gain a better idea of your life story and experiences. You will also collaborate with your therapist in identifying goals and action steps to guide your therapy process.

The process of
therapy.

Good therapy is a journey. The therapy process is personalized for each client, as each person’s goals and desired outcomes are unique. During this part of therapy, you will continue to build a trusting alliance with your therapist and take steps towards progress on your goals.

What if I have other questions?

+ How much will therapy cost?

Our standard 50-min session fee range is $95-$125/session based on your therapist's licensure. The session fee for intern therapists is $50/session. We accept payment via credit/debit card or HSA/FSA credit card.

We desire therapy to be accessible. If that fee range doesn’t feel possible for your financial situation, we offer a discounted rate to honor your commitment to therapy and showing up in this process.

At Restoration, we do not currently accept insurance, however some of our clients choose to self-submit to their providers via a superbill. For more information on how this works, click here.

If you desire more information, we would be happy to discuss!

+ How do I know therapy is right for me? Is it really worth it?

Each one of us has challenges and stressors - there is no escaping suffering in life. At Restoration, we desire to walk alongside you in your hardship. When stress, anxiety or sadness begin to impact your everyday functioning and freedom - it’s a great time to seek help! At Restoration, we believe every person can benefit from therapy.

Is it worth it? Absolutely! Our team has dedicated years to the mission of therapy and we fully believe in the process. It takes an open mind and heart to fully experience the benefits of therapy. Therapy is a partnership - it requires commitment to the process of healing from both the therapist and the client.

+ What can I expect from the free phone consultation?

Our 20-min phone consultation is designed to help you discern if our services are a good fit for your needs. It is a chance to speak with a Restoration therapist, express your reasons for seeking therapy and hopes for the experience, as well as get a feel for your therapist’s approach.

While it is only a brief first conversation, we believe it is an important step that helps provide the clarity clients need to commit to entering therapy freely and with hope.

+ What types of issues do you usually see?

We see children (ages 2 and above), adolescents/teens, families, young adults, adults, and couples for a multitude of issues. In particular:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression & hopelessness
  • Life adjustments & transitions
  • Behavioral difficulties
  • Relationship issues & conflict
  • Trauma
  • Grief & loss
  • Struggles with identity or self-worth
  • Women's issues
  • Athletic performance & stress
  • Missionary burnout

+ How often will therapy sessions be?

We deeply value the formation of an authentic relationship with our clients, thus we aim to see clients on a weekly basis at the beginning of therapy. After a couple months, the frequency of therapy is evaluated based on the goals and needs of the client. Typical frequency for therapy sessions are: weekly, every other week or monthly.

+ Do you offer telehealth services?

Yes! We desire to promote the safety and health of our clients who feel more comfortable from their homes. It also offers our distance and rural clients the opportunity to access therapy from many miles away. You can specify this preference in your contact email.

+ How long will it take for things to get better?

Our thoughts and behavioral patterns are created over time, sometimes over many years. In the same way, building new, healthy ways of thinking and behaving require time and effort - not to mention patience!

The therapy process varies in duration for each person. Some individuals may feel better within a few sessions. For others, complex experiences and trauma may present obstacles to the healing process, taking extended time to heal. At Restoration, each client’s therapy process and timeline is individualized - you and your therapist will discuss each step of the way.
